Recognition at Graduation
Graduates who have earned at least a 3.33 cumulative G.P.A. can wear a gold Honor Cord. National Honor Society members who have remained in good standing and have met the 3.5 G.P.A.
At the conclusion of the 8th semester, the senior(s) with the highest grade point average (to three decimal places) will be the Valedictorian. The senior(s) with the second highest overall grade point average (to three decimal places) will be the Salutatorian. Candidates for the honor of Valedictorian and Salutatorian must meet the Montana Rigorous Core requirements and TFHS College Prep graduation requirements, must be enrolled in an accredited high school for a minimum of six semesters, must attend classes on campus and full-time in core subject areas at TFHS for the final three semesters of high school, and must have the highest two scores of qualifying students. The senior(s) with the second highest overall grade point average (to three decimal places) will be the Salutatorian. Candidates for the honor of Valedictorian and Salutatorian must meet the Montana Rigorous Core requirements and TFHS College Prep graduation requirements, must be enrolled in an accredited high school for a minimum of six semesters, must attend classes on campus and full-time in core subject areas at TFHS for the final three semesters of high school, and must have the highest two scores of qualifying students.
